Conisbrough Castle. Conisbrough Castle used to be the main
stronghold of the De Warenne the Earl of Surrey, who held the land of the area
from 1069-1347. The early castle will have been made from wood and it wasnt
until 1180 that the Keep as it is today was built. In the late 1400s
