Thank you for coming here to see my
photographs of Yorkshire site (s). Although I have taken photos for many years
it wasnt until Digital cameras arrived that I began taking lots of photos. About
Four years ago my first site

was made for my photos by a friend, he used
Dreamweaver to construct the site and it looks very nice and professional too,
my job was to take the photos and he did the rest, the web space was his so it
never cost me any money too, the problem was I had no control over the site and
new nothing about about web sites but felt I was missing out somewhere not being
able to put the photos on myself. I decided to have a go at making my own site a
couple of years ago, I had a go with Dreamweaver and after weeks of trying to
make one page came to the conclusion I had more chance of learning to speak
Chinese than of ever being able to make a website! Even the Dummies book wouldnt
work for me. So back to the drawing board and decided to try Front Page,
strangely I managed to make a couple of pages, a Dummies book in one hand the
other hand on the keyboard, it didnt look very fancy but at least I was managing
to get something together and eventually managed to make this site

although it was a very basic site at
least it worked. After awhile I just couldnt access the site, I e mailed them, I
snail mailed them but still couldnt get on, it was a free site with unlimited
space too, but not a lot of good when I just couldnt get on and still cant to
this day. I decided to start again but with paid webspace this time, and this is
where you are now, still a very basic site but at least its mine. As I have
moved on so have my photos slightly, I now make them a little bit bigger and
although some are bigger file sizes I do try and keep them down to make
downloading a little quicker.
